Stores person open position May 2019

An opportunity has arisen for a stores person based in our Merseyside UK facility 

We are an industrial compressor parts and service company who are looking for an experienced stores person. The successful candidate will have worked in an industrial engineering stores or spare parts and shipping department. Some training will be given although a strong stores background will be required.
The role of stores person falls within the parts and logistics department and the appointed person will be employed to assist the parts and logistics coordinator.

Store Person Responsibilities
• Progressing orders through to production of shipping documents ready for goods to be dispatched
• Packing and crating of various parts using mechanical handling aids and lifting equipment
• Ensure stock levels are maintained
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements
• Annual stock taking
• Organise logistics and shipments of parts and goods
• Parts ordering
• General housekeeping
• Scope for advancement into internal sales role.

Store Person Profile
• Experience within engineering stores environment
• Basic computer skills required
• A strong knowledge of Sage beneficial but not essential
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Hold a fork lift truck licence
• Ability to work independently and carry out tasks to completion
• Can do attitude

£17,000-£22,000 per annum
